4 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro

4 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro

Immerse yourself into the heart of the Serengeti savanna, where we spend two excellent nights either witnessing the Great migration or birding or searching for the BIG 5. Then proceed to Ngorongoro Crater, and enjoy the marvelous game viewing on the Crater floor filled with an unparalleled concentration of animals and bird species…

During the safari, you have the option to visit either a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals or a short visit to renowned Olduvai Gorge, some believe to be a cradle of mankind. It’s here that Dr. Leakey and his wife Mary uncovered the fossil Homo habilis (the handy man), the first tool user, living over 1.75 million years ago.

Day 1: Serengeti National Park:

After breakfast at 7.45 am, we drive to the World famous Serengeti. Join an optional visit to Olduvai Gorge (en route), where the Leakey family made illustrious discoveries including the fossil of Homo habilis, living 1.75 million years ago. In the Serengeti, we find ourselves deep in the heart of the savannah on the famous migration cor- ridor. And with afternoon game viewing, we have ample opportunity to discover why this land is indeed legendary.

Day 2: Serengeti | Full Day Game viewing.

This celebrat- ed reserve is truly the Africa of our imagination, and it is here that our expedition reaches a grand finale with unfor- gettable Bush meal. Our day in the Serengeti is spent in the unique atmosphere of the original safaris of yesteryear… Join an optional hot air balloon ride to take in sweeping views of the Serengeti from above. (additional fees apply).

Overnight stay at:-

Meals included: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner.

Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater:

We descend into the giant crater of this extinct volcano and spend the morning tracking animals. This magnificent natural amphitheater contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa, including a high density of lions and thousands of flamingos inhabiting an alkaline lake. Because the grass is short, the game is easily spotted. The ever-changing mood and tenor of this great caldera will end- lessly hold our attention.

Overnight stay at:-

Meals included: Breakfast | Packed lunch | Dinner.

Day 4: Drive back to Arusha city.

One last glance of the Crater from the viewpoint and we drive to Arusha city through the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the Masai Steppe. Spend the rest of the day revisiting a favorite site, shopping or simply relaxing in your hotel room in Arusha.
